Each of the 12 note pages after it is a one-page wine tasting notes template, numbered Wine 1 to Wine 12. You can also fill that page in on screen.

How to use the journal

  1. Print it. Download the A4 or US Letter PDF and print all 13 pages. Staple the corner, or put the pages in a folder.
  2. One wine per page. Each note page has the wine, producer, vintage, price and where you bought it, then look, smell, taste and verdict. Use one page for each bottle.
  3. Number it on the index. Each note page is numbered, from Wine 1 to Wine 12. Write each wine on the index next to the same number, so you can find any note in seconds.
  4. Print more. When the 12 pages are full, print the booklet again and carry on from number 13.

Questions

What is in the booklet?

An index page with 12 numbered lines, then 12 note pages, one per wine: 13 pages in total. Each note page is the same layout as our wine tasting notes template.

Is this the same as a wine tasting booklet?

Yes. Booklet, journal and log mean the same thing here: several tasting notes kept together, with an index so you can find one again.

Can I use it for a tasting with friends?

Yes. Give each person a booklet and number the wines the same way, so you can compare notes afterwards.

Is there a wine tasting journal app?

Yes. WineBudd is a wine tasting journal for iPhone and Android. It keeps the same kind of note on your phone, with a photo of the label, and you can search your notes later. It is free to download.

A4 or US Letter?

Both. Pick the size your printer uses. The pages are the same.
